Hi! My name is Allie. I`m 16 years old and I attend school at Hunterdon Central in New Jersey. My parents are divorced, and I spend time with both of them. I have one sister, Katie, who is 13. Katie and I are very close since were only three years apart in age. The majority of the time I live with my mother, Laura. When I am not with my mother, I spend time with my dad, Rob, and my step-mother, Marj. I have three step-brothers: Dan, who is 17, Kevin, who is 15, and Jeffrey, who is 12. Jeffrey, Kevin, Katie & I get along very well. Sometimes we get along with Dan, but not always. At school, I participate in Peer Leadership Club, a club that does a lot of volunteer work for our community. Besides that, I volunteer at a nursing home. About 5 or 6 days a week, I work at HealthQuest, a gym near our school. When I`m not volunteering or working, I love hanging out with my friends, going to the movies and trying to find something to do in our small town. One of my favorite things to do is to take the train into New York City and spend the day in "Little Italy" or in Times Square. What is your life like in Poland? Is it similar to mine? Please tell me more about it because I have never been to Europe, let alone Poland.

Hello, I’m Sebastian and I’m 16. I love playing the guitar. My hobby is programming. My favourite sport is karate. I spend most of my free time with my girlfriend or my computer (or both). I like my city – Krakow very much. I’m a student of maths-physics-informatics class. I really don’t like history.
I'm Pawel (Paul) Zaczkowski. I'm 16. I live in the dorm in Cracow because I come from the town which is 200km far from my school.
I'm a cheerful, outgoing and approachable person, but I'm not very chatty. I don't like conceited and self-concerned people.
I'd like to tell you about my hobbies and interests. First of all, I like all kinds of sports. One of my favorite activities is playing soccer with frieds. Apart from that I enjoy playing basketball, volleyball and table-tennis. I also like listenning to pop and rock music and some bands which play other kinds of music. My favourite artists are Avril Lavigne and Bon Jovi. I'm keen on Linux and Star Craft.
I've got a US-pen-friend Ashley who lives in Michigan. We have been writing to each other for almost two years.
All in all, I hope that we'll enjoy sharing impressions about cultures and we're gonna have a nice time. I think I'll be able to improve my English and you'll inhance your knowledge about Europe.

Hobby’s. I LOVE snowboarding, it’s one of my winter passions, the world without snowboarding wouldn’t be the same… now I’m waiting for snow in our mountains. In summer, I like riding bike, my mum always give me advices not to kill myself. Music ? I love listening to the beats in techno. Have you ever seen the coverage of the Love Parade in Berlin? That’s awesome. I live close to Germany so next year or maybe in two years’ time, I’ll probably go and dance three days non-stop. At home, I mustn’t listen to techno because my parents have little tolerance for this kind of music. So I listen to rock ( Offspring, System of a Dawn, Alice in Chains, and many, many more). In my free time, or during my holidays, I love playing volleyball with friends. When I have too much free time, I often play computer games (now it’s Jedi Outcast II – Jedi Academy).
That will be all about me. I wonder how is in your school in New Jersey. I’ve never been to the USA and I haven’t got friends in this part of the world. Maybe we have different views on some sort of things. I love meeting new people with different interests. Take care =]

My name is Micha³ (Micheal) Markiewicz. I’m 16. I’m from Cracow but when I was 10 I left Cracow and moved to Zakopane, which is the capital of Polish skiing. My name is Luke Dyrda. I’m 16 years old and I go to high-school number V in Krakow. Krakow is a beautiful, old city in southern Poland, in the city there is the biggest Main Square in Europe and a lot of magnificent buildings, some of them were built 1000 years ago. I’ve been learning English for 6 years, and I’ve been having French since 2000.
I don’t write a lot about my appearance, because I don’t know how I should describe myself, but I hope a person, who receives my photo (there will be also photos of another students from my group who take part in the project), will be able to tell something about me. I’m Krzysiek (Chris). I’m sixteen years old. I was born on May 11, 1987. I have blue eyes and brown hair. I’m 175 cm tall and my weight is 65 kg. I’ve got two sisters: Anita and Diana. I love sport. I often go to a body-building gym because I practise climbing, especially the climbing wall. I go there twice a week. I’ve got a lot of friends. We like the same things, for example, skateboarding, cycling (especially trial), football and basketball. If I only have time I spend it with my friends.
My name is Justyna Gumu³a and I’m 16 and 10 months now. What can I say about the things I’m interested in? My interests are social problems and human psychology. I also have to read a lot of books as my major is Polish. But ,in fact, I hate it !!! I used to think about being a doctor, but I’m not good enough at chemistry, so that is why I’ve chosen the class with a lot of Polish. What also can I say about myself ? I play the guitar and sometimes write silly poems with my friends. I love chatting, so I can say that I’m quite sociable (I’ve been trying to... J). My awful vice is that my room is always messy and I leave all the things to be done at the last moment. I’m a tolerant person, who can put up with really, really a lot of things.
I have a brother, he’s 5 years younger than me. I don’t like him, but I love him, as I have to. I always quarrel with Bartek (that’s his name) about everything.
I like meeting new people. There’s a lot of people of my age who I know in my city. It’s one of the biggest in Poland, but sometimes I have an impression that it is a small village, where everyone knows each other.
Some of my relatives live in the USA, but I don’t know them very well. We sometimes write letters and that’s the only way we communicate.
I hope that our project will be successful and that we will get to know more about each other’s culture and tradition, and of course about ourselves !!!
Hi, I’m Joanna (Asia) from the most fantastic city of Poland, from Cracow! Now I’m 16 and I study at the 5th High School.
What can I say about myself?
Most of my time I spend meeting my friends in charming and cozy cafés and talking about philosophy (of course, not only). I have a brother. He plays football in Wisla Krakow (they are the best in Poland). It is my favourite team as I’m a sports fan, too. My hobby is watching good films and reading good books ... I dream about becoming an archeologist or a journalist in the future and about having my own tarantula.
My name is Janek (or, if you prefer, John). I am 16 years old. I’ve lived in Cracow all my life and I think it’s a great place to live. All a man can need is more or less close, and the very atmosphere is wonderful. Oh, the traffic is horrible, but where it isn’t?
I attend the 5th High School, with (at least in theory) literature, history and philosophy being my main subjects. I spend my free time studying, reading, debating, playing computer games, surfing the net, visiting pubs and listening music. Nothing unusual.
Apart from this, I have a passion for Norway, Vikings, their mythology and all topics related. I also try to write various texts, but my attempts are unfortunately not very successful. Maybe in the future. Not so distant, I hope…
Literature. It seems very hard to choose one favorite book (since there are so many), but I think I’d say “Faust” by J. W. Goethe or maybe some works of F. Nietzsche.
I love listening to music, mostly classical and various kinds of metal, from heavy to black. My favorite album is (IMHO a true masterpiece) - “La Masquerade Infernale” by Arcturus.

I really enjoy riding my bike (downhill, freeride and cross-country) if you happen to know something about this kind of sport just write back to me. In winter I usually ski in the mountains. I also like playing football, voleyball, basketball and tennis.
This summer I got a certificate in sailing competence. I’m an inland skipper and I’m authorized to operate sailing yachts in all inland waters. I’m a member of the European Red Cross. I’m fond of travelling all over the world. In August, I was in Corse and in Egypt.
High school is a lot of fun but you also have to work hard. However, I’ve got enough time to meet my friends and have a great time with them.

Hi! I’m Agnieszka (Agnes).
My name is Agnieszka, but my friends call me Aga. I’m 16 years old and, as you maybe know, I go to the Vth high school in Cracow. However, I’m from Andrychów, a small city, about 70 kilometres away from Cracow, in the south of Poland, near the mountains. From Monday to Friday, I live in girls’ dorm (which is not far from my school) with my four friends. I’m at home only at weekends.
