| I really think that this artistic interpretation decribes the book well. It shows how Lily grows up throughout the course of the book. In the end she finally realizes how to overcome her problems and put them in the past. It's also a great picture because it shows how the death of her mother forces her to become an adult faster then most children have to grow up.

| I think that this is a good interpretation because in the beging of the book it seemed like Lily was so young, and she matured so much over the course of the book. It didn't seem like all that much time had passed but she was starting to understand life and how to act as an adult. She was also begining too not think so much about her mother.

| I agree with Jared when he talks of Lily progressing as a person in the book. The art clearly depicts where Lily is in her transition between adolescence and adulthood. Also, the overshadowing of the word mother, to me represents what will always be in the background of her life and remain constant. In another light one could also think that the word mother is making her cross a street, a street which represents the line between childhood and adulthood. But, that's just one perception.
